About Jenny

I took Mixed Media at Brighton University and specialised in Jewellery

A Crafts Council grant in 1981 enabled me to set up a workshop and develop work which sold in luxury shops, Liberty and at numerous shows including Goldsmiths Hall and Chelsea crafts fairs.

I’ve lived and worked in France and Germany and travelled widely. After being awarded a Winston Churchill Travel Fellowship to visit the USA and Mexico silver mines in 1993, I interviewed leading jewellers and made a film about their inspirations and techniques which I shared with my students.

I make original and wearable jewellery inspired by the natural world. I specialise in casting cuttlefish bone found on Sussex beaches to create intricate surface textures in precious metals, often combined with the semi precious stones I’ve collected on my travels.

I work at different scales from earrings, to larger sculptural pieces, designed to place in gardens and support plants.

I regularly exhibit at shows in and around Sussex and Cambridge. I specialise in personal commissions for celebratory occasions. Please contact me for any enquiries.
